Sian and Rob Colquhoun are an acoustic duo based in the southwest of England performing a lively repertoire of Old-Time, classic Bluegrass and early country.
Expect lush close harmonies accompanied on guitar, mandolin, clawhammer banjo, autoharp and harmonica.
Rob is a guitar player, singer-songwriter, composer and tutor with more than 40 years experience. He is expert in both finger-style and flatpicking, playing his own beautifully crafted arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs. He also plays mandolin and banjo. Sian is known for her velvet vocals and gorgeous harmonies and plays guitar, autoharp and harmonica. She has worked as a musician since 2008 when she founded Sing Alive, leading community choirs, singing groups, performance choirs, singing workshops and scratch festival choirs. She has gigged as a duo with husband Rob since 2016.
These dynamic performers are skilled interpreters of songs and tunes, calling on a rich tradition encompassing their own Scots-Irish roots. Since forming as a Bluegrass duo in 2023 they have quickly established themselves playing festivals, folk clubs and folk/roots venues across the South West.
