Sore Fingers Summer School –
10th to 14th April 2023
Sore Fingers Summer Schools is Europe’s leading organisation for Bluegrass and Old Time music camps offering world class tuition for all the instruments played in Bluegrass as well as Old Time String Band music and vocals. Although the theme is Bluegrass and Old Time music, the techniques taught are universal and will improve your playing even if you are not a dedicated Bluegrass player.

A weekend for the Bluegrass Pickers. The pub is situated on the outskirts of Rainford village, large pub and function room, together with a permanent large marquee with a stage and its own bar. Plenty of places to pick and jam plus organised sessions for all levels. Workshops and open mic. Huge flat camping field for tents, caravans and motorhomes.

Purbeck Valley Folk Festival –
17th – 20th August 2023
Purbeck Valley Folk Festival is a small festival set on a farm on the beautiful Jurassic Coastline. We’re a festival that’s loved by everyone because there’s loads for kids to do, loads for parents and loads for the old folkies!

It features outstanding, original young folk, roots and world music. We always encourage the young up and coming musicians too as well as booking national and international folk acts and a good variety of local music. There’s something for everyone.
